Roto-Rooter is a nationally known name but locally owned and operated full service plumbing company. Roto-Rooter was originally founded back in 1933 by Samuel Blanc in Des Moines, Iowa. His son had a clogged drain in his apartment which would take hours to clear and would require digging up the ground. Samuel decided to find a faster and easier way to fix the problem. Today, Roto-Rooter is the largest provider of plumbing and drain cleaning services in North America, operating in more than 100 company-owned territories and more than 500 franchise territories.
